GET TO KNOW ALICE AND ROY

About Alice Marie
A native of North Carolina, Alice Marie Cuthbert moved to New York with her family at the tender age of 2. Alice’s mother and father, a singer himself, realized that she could sing at 6 years old. Alice herself also realized at an early age what she wanted to do with her voice. By the age of 16, she began singing professionally alongside her sisters and one of her brothers who spent most of their time traveling up and down the East Coast sharing the Gospel in song.
The recipient of the 1986 Gospel Academy Award, founded by the late Bishop Billy Robinson, she and her sisters won Best Female Group at the world renowned Apollo Theatre in New York, where they would later perform. Continuing on their journey, they shared the stage with some of Gospel Music’s most talented singers such as Shirley Caesar, Edwin Hawkins, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Gospel Jubilees, Alvin Slaughter, Daryl Coley and more. Alice Marie would later perform on Off Broadway in Vy Higgensen's hit plays, Momma I Want to Sing and Let the Music Play Gospel, which was a testament to the strong voice she embraces on every stage she graces. In 1990, Alice Marie, who after being deeply rooted in the Word, was led by the Spirit of God, as she began her own solo singing ministry where she blessed many viewers on TBN in Peekskill, NY. In 2011 Alice Marie was blessed to be chosen by God to married her wonderful husband and best friend, Roy, and feels that living with, and doing His Work along side of him, is one of the greatest gifts God has rewarded her with for her standing through it all. And can attest to the fact that, as He promised, it definitely did not stay that way always.
Today, Alice Marie Cuthbert presents her new CD projects which include singles entitled “It Won’t Be This Way Always”, and “Don’t Give Up on You”. These songs are a personal Testimony to Alice Marie, who has been comforted through every tribulation she has faced, survived, and is still here to testified about, through the perfectly written lyrics given to her by God as a blessing to as many of us who may be going through any type of life’s heartaches, trials and/or tribulations. These words reign high as the clouds in her “live” versions of “It’s Won’t Be this Way Always” and “Don’t Give Up On You” which both speak to the hearts of many who are witnesses that God always has a plan, purpose, higher height and deeper depth that He wants to take them to. They too can live to see His best for their lives come to pass if they choose to endure to see it, an if they only Believe. Alice’s CDs include other titles such as “C’mon Let’s Praise Him”, “He is Waiting on You,” Praise Always,” “You are My God,” “The Promise the Prize,” He is the One you Need” and “Jesus Rose” just to name a few. These projects are a blessing to the young, old, rich, poor, black, white, saved, unsaved, churched, and unchurched.
About Roy
Roy Cuthbert is a native of Mount Vernon, New York. His family roots are from Costa Rica, Central America, where both his mother and father were born and raised. They moved to America and settled in Mount Vernon, New York where Roy, and his three siblings, were born and raised. Roy has a musical background in songwriting, singing and playing several instruments, in local bands in the New York area. Being blessed with a listening ear and understanding heart, Roy always seemed to be the person people trusted with their problems. Although Roy enjoyed his musical background, from a young age, he felt an unsuspected calling on his life to minister in funeral service where his burden would be more for the living, left behind. Before fulfilling that call, he spent many years as a professional bus driver, the same as his father had been, and unsuspectingly used by God, was regularly trusted with the concerns and problems in the lives of numerous bus riders.
In 1993, he furthered his understanding of this call in ministry at New York Theological Seminary. In 2007, Roy relocating to Georgia where he went on to earn a Degree in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, GA. His uncanny, God-given ability to understand the hearts of the family members for which he officiates funeral services for, and then to translate that understanding into their appreciation for their loved ones, many times, having never met them, is so amazing and welcomed to itness by all in attendance. Roy’s quiet strength lies in his ability to understand God’s Word, and then transform that understanding into a ministry of encouragement and inspiration for the betterment of those to whom he is blessed to minister to. In 2011 Roy moved back to New York to marry his beautiful, loving wife, and best friend, Alice Marie. Being used by God in His relationship of love and understanding with her, Roy feels is one of His greatest callings and gifts. It is so rewarding for him to witness, and encourage her to flow in the anointing of God on her life in the lives of others, as she supports him in His call to others, as they reap the harvest together!
